What is a cloud based application?
The majority of our customers decide to use our software over the Internet and hosted on our cloud (SaaS). The cloud is a cluster of servers housed in data centers across three major American cities. When increased demand is required the cloud automatically allocates additional servers on the fly. This is why the cloud is so fast and also why it is very robust. Since all servers work as a team to deliver your application any individual server failure will not cause an outage.

What is an SaaS application?
SaaS stands for Software As A Service. This methodology means that you essentially use the software like a utility. Like gas, electric, and water your software provider builds the infrastructure for delivering the service to you and the charges you monthly for your usage. In the software world the service includes a fully managed and secure data center including network engineers, security personnel, database administrators, application developers, and support staff. The service also includes daily incremental and weekly full backups.

In what ways is SaaS better than buying and installing software on my computers?
Using a fully managed service like ours means that you don't have to purchase servers, operating systems, and the associated maintenance contracts that goes with these. It also lowers your overall support spend since your IT team is released from having to manage your application. This means they can focus on more strategic things for your company. There's no need to worry about backing up your system. Nor do you need to worry about keeping your application or hardware up to date. For example you will never run out of storage or memory. You also will never have to install software updates.

How secure is the cloud?
We understand your security concerns and have made it a priority. We ensure that rigorous security measures are in place for the physical security of our data centers and networks. Operating system patches are frequently installed to ensure the latest security updates are readily available. We also implement application level security measures to prevent attacks and protect access to your applications and data. Data transport to our systems can be handled over 256 bit SSL. Data fields in our databases are also encrypted if requested.

What operating systems and browsers are supported?
We engineered our systems from the outset to work on the widest variety of platforms. Our software works on Windows, Linux, and Apple systems. In some cases we have native Android applications built for cell phone and tablets. We support Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, and Chrome. We intend to be as broad as possible for our support of multiple platforms so that you can have the greatest flexibility when choosing your applications.

Is your software open source?
What? Absolutely not! Where did you get that idea? Our software is commercially built and supported completely by Ubiquia engineers. Our code is proprietary and not available on the public domain. You should also know that we NEVER outsource our development or support.
