Why use a web based tracking system when my desktop version is working just fine you might ask? There are several distinct advantages of moving your system to the cloud to manage your inbound packages. First, with a web based solution it will be easier to deploy to more people within your organization by having them navigate to the tracking website, enter in their credentials, and begin to administer the system. This is a very cumbersome process if you are using a desktop version. You would have to get your IT staff involved an put the system on your internal network or intranet and as we are all aware dealing with the already overworked internal IT staff is not the easiest thing to do. Secondly, is the data security. On a cloud based system, your data should be backed up and archived routinely. Not only is your data safe from loss or system crashes it should also be encrypted for additional levels of protection. Again, this is not typically something that is easy for internal IT departments. Finally, speed is considerably faster when working in the cloud as opposed to the desktop environment. We here at Ubiquia would be glad to show you how SQBX cloud based tracking system can springboard your mail center into the new age of technology.

If you are managing a mail center and want to get a better grasp on your
package deliveries you might want to look into a package tracking
system. There are many types of systems out there to assist in the
scanning of packages and the capturing of signatures of the recipients
upon delivery. When deciding on what type of system is right for your
organization you must consider a few key points. 1. How easy is the system to administer? Your package tracking process should be more stream lined after implementing the system. 2. How quickly can I research package information? The system should be able to quickly locate the information that you are looking for regarding a package that is in question. 3. What are my limitations as to where I can use the system. Will I be tied to a single work station or will the information be available via the internet from any computer or internet capable device. These three items are critical in making the proper decision regarding the package tracking system. Ease of use, speed, and visibility. SQBX inbound package tracking solution takes care of those three main concerns. Its easy to recognize icons and intuitive layout makes for a pleasurable tracking experience. Our cloud infrastructure enables SQBX to be the fastest system on the market. There are many package tracking systems on the market and it may be hard to differentiate them. It is important to ask yourself, what is most important to my organization. Is it security of the data, accountability of the package or item, or ease of use, support and installation. The task can be daunting a quite time consuming. Here are a couple of things that we recommend you consider when making a purchasing decision regarding a package tracking system. - How and where will my data be stored? Will it be encrypted? How frequently will the data be backed up? Where will the backed up data be stored?
- How long does a typical installation take? Will you need to tie up our terminals to do the installation. What involvement will be required by our IT department?
- How will training be presented? Is it a single training session or will the training be ongoing? What happens if we have turn over? Will there be extra charges to train new employees down the road?
These three points are critical in making the decision because they greatly impact how the data is managed, how long your transition to the new system will be and how much training could cost over the entire term of the agreement. Just some food for thought as your travel towards your new package tracking solution. Please contact us here at Ubiquia for the answer to the above and any other questions that you have.

Wouldn't it be cool to identify a package or a group of packages by swiping an ID card directly on a mobile device? Well now you can. The makers of SQBX package tacking software have developed a process in which package retrieval is as easy as swiping an ID directly on the handheld, reading the information on the magnetic strip, and displaying the packages that are associated with that recipient. By swiping the ID on the handheld the mail clerk can take the device directly to the storage facility and pull the packages for that recipient. This is an ideal solution when the recipients are coming down to the mail center to pick up their packages. Also, by swiping the ID, a verification is made that the packages are for that person. This solution is a perfect fit for university and college mail centers were students come to a desk to retrieve their items. The clerk would verify that the ID matches the student, scans the card, sees what packages are for that student and the locations of those packages within the storage facility. The process is completed when the recipient signs for the packages on the handheld. Call us today to learn more about this innovative way to pick packages.

Many times in a large organization only the very high value assets are accounted for such as equipment, Computers, or expensive instruments. Leakage can occur with some of the smallest assets within a company costing unnecessary over spend to replace those items. Furniture, tools, office equipment can just go missing if they are not being tracked in some manner. In order to take the difficulty out of this process you implement an asset tracking solution to automate the tracking and recording of asset whereabouts. Simply apply a barcode to the item scan it into the system and assign that asset to a custodian or employee within your company. This will at bare minimum will give you a list of the assets and who had the asset last. We can take that a step further and assign a location to the custodian and time and date stamp when the asset changed hands. Now you will be able to see who had it last, when it changed hands, where that custodian is located and any additional notes or information about that asset. If this system is a web based application like SQBX Asset Tracking, then you will have global visibility to all of your assets across your entire organization from any internet connection in the world providing you have the proper username and password. Call us today to learn more how we can deploy an enterprise wide asset tracking solution at a fraction of the cost.
