Now that it is officially summer and the travel season has begun, hotels will be booked with many guests on vacation, business, or just passing through. This means that there will also be an influx of packages received by these hotels as well. A challenge arises when the volume of packages increases, but the staff levels remain the same. In order to compensate for the increase in package volume an automated system would greatly improve the productivity and accountability of the mail or business center. When a package arrives for a guest or group, the clerk can scan the tracking number, enter in any package information, notify the guest, and store the package on the shelf. The system will keep track of all of the movements of the package, who had it last, and the delivery status of the package. SQBX inbound package tracking system is ideal for this application. Being that it is a web based system it can be deployed throughout your property with the use of username and password. Charge your guests and groups for the receiving of packages and the system will most likely not only pay for itself, but also turn your mail center into a profit center. Call us today to find out more about the power of SQBX inbound package tracking software.

Does your college campus have multiple receiving areas for packages, mail, and other items? Do you often get misdirected calls and inquiries to research items that are not handled by your department?
There is a solution that can meet all of your receiving and tracking needs on campus. Many schools have multiple receiving areas: such as central receiving, mail services, student campus mail, housing services, individual dorms and many more. Often inquiries are misdirected to the wrong receiving area or department.

Recently I had the opportunity to speak with a campus postmaster who advised me that there were 3 different departments receiving packages and each had a different tracking process. When we had a chance to speak further about SQBX package tracking software it looked like the perfect solution to optimize tracking on campus as well as improve customer service levels for students, faculty, and staff. The manager I spoke with worked in the campus post office and his area only handled incoming USPS mail and packages but he said often he would receive calls from students, parents, and staff members trying to locate a FedEx or UPS package. He said he loved the idea of having SQBX so he could easily research a package that was processed by another department. He said it would save everyone time, increase efficiency, and improve service levels. SQBX package tracking software is an excellent solution for campuses with multiple receiving areas. Give us a call to discuss benefits specific to your campus needs @ 1.800.268.6296. HAPPY TRACKING!

An in-depth analysis of the many costs associated with the reception and distribution of packages and shipped items on the campus of any college, university or trade school provides a reasonably accurate number in terms of hard costs. The benefits of improved service to the institution's internal customers, faculty and staff and it's student population are more difficult to quantify. Fortunately, the hard costs can usually cover the implementation and ongoing costs of a good or excellent package tracking solution.

Hard costs will include the time involved to receive and accurately distribute the items as well as the time required for reporting, research and any time necessary to find lost items and report on them. A cloud based system or at least a network based system provides better access to the data for searches with the cloud solution offering 24/7 anywhere access that can be secured more easily than network access. The point here is accounting for the institution's IT costs to research, implement and maintain a package tracking system as a cost of the solution.

Other costs should include any seasonal labor to cover the peak levels at the beginning of school terms and the winter holiday rush. Supply costs can be significant when totaled. A small university discovered in their analysis that the paper slips placed in the student mail boxes only cost $.005 each but every minute of labor added $.10 to each one even at a low labor cost of $6.00 per hour for student assistance. A speedy one minute of writing and placing in the correct mailbox (usually exceeded by a minute) cost at least $42.00 per day for the 400 packages. This did not include receiving, delivery or student pick up. Writing the student's name and the date on their items added another $40.00+ per month.

Another institution uncovered the costs of inefficient storage and notification when the proposed cost to add more storage and additional lockers topped $46,000. An efficient system of automatic student package notification, and continued, scheduled notification in combination with a better system of labeling and storage eliminated the need for additional space and the new lockers.

To summarize; total all of the costs of the current situation with special attention to associated and future costs and when comparing the proposed package tracking solution; include implementation costs such as your IT's involvement and any continued IT requirements for an accurate ROI.

For examples and or assistance; please contact us at www.SQBXCLOUD.com or 1-602-406-1706 X115.

If your college mail room is like most other campuses there are high volumes of packages and items to be received at the beginning of each new term/'semester. Students living on campus wait for packages to arrive and often attempt to pick up their items in the mail room. This is a busy time of year when chaos can erupt, phone lines ringing of the hook from students and other staff members looking for an item and its current whereabouts. Are you organized enough to keep up with all the different smiling faces that walk into the mail center expecting a package? Schools with a manual tracking process can have a hard time keeping up with the increased demands that the beginning of the semester brings. There are books coming in and students moving into the dorms waiting for items, as well as faculty and staff needing their materials for upcoming classes. The mail center needs to be prepared to take care of its students, faculty, and staff members.

One way to always be prepared for shifts in mail and package volumes is to critique your current process and look at improvements. SQBX package tracking software can be installed right away and will have all your important data like student information updated automatically. Colleges will now have the capability to track and deliver packages, send students automatic email and text notifications indicating that their package is ready to be picked up, and SQBX provides easy online access. Automating your mail room functions makes seasonal volume shifts extremely easy to accommodate with the same level of staffing.

A campus mail center provides quality and cost effective mail services to the University. The main objectives are to satisfy customer needs and provide the highest level of service to the campus community. The main goal of our software is to ensure your campus that its' packages are being handled efficiently by the mail center. From the time a package arrives at the campus mail room until it is received by the end recipient all movement is tracked. SQBX provides visibility university wide for the mail center to coordinate with its' customers, students, faculty, and staff.
Check out a demonstration of SQBX software today and see why it is the best quality package tracking software available today for your university mail center and will continue to be.

Process tracking can enable your organization to improve its efficiency, increase communication, and identify areas of process improvement. Many organizations are looking for a solution to help them track and time stamp the stages of their process from start to finish. Process tracking affords management the opportunity to evaluate each stage of the process and identify improvement areas. SQBX package tracking software is not just for tracking packages, we have a variety of clients who have used this flexible system to design and track stages of their internal processes and workflows.

Process tracking through SQBX provides immediate access to any status defined in your operations, for example: repair stages, manufacturing cycles, specimen stages, etc. SQBX can also maintain chain of custody for assembly kits or individual parts so that each component of an assembly can be tracked individually or as a group. Another great tool for managers is tracking workstation and personnel efficiency by time stamping the movement through stages, work areas, and employees. Once a stage is complete and your process transitions to the next step you can schedule automatic notification emails to your managers or customers, etc. Improve your internal processes, increase internal communications, and take your operations to the next level by implementing process tracking. Happy Tracking!!!

SQBX package tracking software offers a plethora of customizable fields that you can map to your organizational processes. The best way to improve efficiency in your internal tracking and receiving processes is to deploy a package tracking software that actually aligns with your organizational operating procedures.

You want to be able to customize statuses is a manner that is actually relevant to your terminology, locations, and operations. Isn't it time to find a system that works with you and for you instead of one you have to work around? Definitely! Happy Tracking!!

Why use a web based tracking system when my desktop version is working just fine you might ask? There are several distinct advantages of moving your system to the cloud to manage your inbound packages. First, with a web based solution it will be easier to deploy to more people within your organization by having them navigate to the tracking website, enter in their credentials, and begin to administer the system. This is a very cumbersome process if you are using a desktop version. You would have to get your IT staff involved an put the system on your internal network or intranet and as we are all aware dealing with the already overworked internal IT staff is not the easiest thing to do. Secondly, is the data security. On a cloud based system, your data should be backed up and archived routinely. Not only is your data safe from loss or system crashes it should also be encrypted for additional levels of protection. Again, this is not typically something that is easy for internal IT departments. Finally, speed is considerably faster when working in the cloud as opposed to the desktop environment. We here at Ubiquia would be glad to show you how SQBX cloud based tracking system can springboard your mail center into the new age of technology.

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) defines cloud computing as “... a model for enabling ubiquitous, convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources (e.g., networks, servers, storage, applications and services) that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction." - http://csrc.nist.gov/publications/nistpubs/800-145/SP800-145.pdf .

Here at Ubiquia we engineered SQBX our package tracking software as Software as a Service (SaaS) that resides in the cloud. Our model provides many benefits to our clients such as lightening speed searching and the ability to expand on the fly to meet your volumes without slowing down. Never again worry about a server that slows down when your business volumes pick up.

One of the advantages of our SaaS model is that we implement new application features all the time that you can choose to use or not. We want to make sure our clients always have the latest and updated version of our software. The NIST SP 800-146 notes that “Because SaaS providers implement new application features and provide the server side hardware that runs them, SaaS providers also have advantages in managing the introduction of new features while mitigating the need for consumers to upgrade their hardware systems to use the new features.” This statement is especially true here at Ubiquia, we manage everything for you which means you never have to worry about updating or upgrading your system. It happens automatically.

When it is time to renew or review your package tracking software let us show you our beautifully laid out, easy to use SQBX package tracking software. Unlimited users and workstations per site is another benefit that is unmatched by the competition. Happy Tracking!

If you are managing a mail center and want to get a better grasp on your
package deliveries you might want to look into a package tracking
system. There are many types of systems out there to assist in the
scanning of packages and the capturing of signatures of the recipients
upon delivery. When deciding on what type of system is right for your
organization you must consider a few key points. 1. How easy is the system to administer? Your package tracking process should be more stream lined after implementing the system. 2. How quickly can I research package information? The system should be able to quickly locate the information that you are looking for regarding a package that is in question. 3. What are my limitations as to where I can use the system. Will I be tied to a single work station or will the information be available via the internet from any computer or internet capable device. These three items are critical in making the proper decision regarding the package tracking system. Ease of use, speed, and visibility. SQBX inbound package tracking solution takes care of those three main concerns. Its easy to recognize icons and intuitive layout makes for a pleasurable tracking experience. Our cloud infrastructure enables SQBX to be the fastest system on the market. Being that SQBX tracking system is deployed via the internet, you will have global visibility of all of your packages any where in the world from an internet enabled device. Call us today to learn more about the power of SQBX.

SQBX package tracking software was engineered as a cloud application. We are the cloud experts, our heads having been in the cloud since 2007. One of the key differentiators that really sets us apart from the competition is that we are cross platform and browser compliant. This means you can operate SQBX package tracking in Linux, Windows XP/2003/2008/Vista/7, and Mac iOS environments. Additionally, your organization can continue to use your internet browser of choice: Internet Explorer 8/9, Mozilla Firefox, and Google Chrome. No longer would you have to worry about losing software functionality when IT updates everyone’s' operating system or browser.

For organizations with multiple sites and campuses SQBX package tracking software is an excellent choice. Each location can track its own operations and the software allows for super user access. The super user will have complete visibility over all sites and operations and have the ability to review productivity and generate company wide reports.

Super users and cross platform and browser compliance are just a few of the many ways that SQBX is ahead of the competition. SQBX package tracking software offers the most flexibility in the industry making it the best solution for your internal mail and receiving needs.

Package tracking software has allowed businesses to improve in several different areas. In addition to simplifying manual receiving by using a bar code scanner to automate the process, and preventing loss by creating a searchable chain of custody for all packages received, cloud based tracking software has opened up a critical area of improvement – communications within a business and it's customers.

How much time does your business spend simply communicating information to staff and employees? It's difficult to measure, but most people can agree on “far too much”. It has to be done – a customer needs to know when their order is ready, staff needs to know when critical components arrive, etc. But these simple notification tasks can be accomplished without using valuable staff time that can be used elsewhere – the SQBX cloud based tracking system does these tasks automatically. Even more importantly, the tasks can be scheduled, so that an alert to a production manager to pick up a pallet of goods can be scheduled for 15 minutes after they arrive, allowing the receiving staff time to process everything. Similarly, an alert can be sent to a customer that their order is ready. By scheduling a delay on this alert, staff is relieved of making tedious and time consuming phone calls, a record of notifications is maintained, and the timing of these notices can be customized to your business needs.

Auto alerts are present in SQBX package tracking systems, however time savings features such as this exist in all of our products, from mail tracking to inventory software. Call us for a free demonstration of how SQBX will help your business.
